So what is iMovie?

iMovie is part of Apple's iLife collection which come standard on every Mac. iMovie allows you to create your own home movies. You can use a number of file sources to create your movies: digital video cameras, DV-encoded movie files, pictures and audio files. iMovie's interface is a joy to use and means creating a movie is a quick and easy process. It has a built-in library that will automatically organizes all your videos. With iMovie finishing your movie can be done in just a few easy steps where you can add movies to your website, add them to YouTube, even create versions for you iPod, iPhone, and Apple TV.
