So what is iTunes?

Well iTunes is Apples own digital media player. You can play, store and organize digital music and videos. There are many ways to get music into iTunes, you can make backup copies of your own personal CD collection or you can connect straight to the iTunes Store via the Internet and purchase great music at the right price. The iTunes Store isn't restricted to music, it also sells music videos, television shows, pod casts, iPod Games, audio books and in the USA and Canada you can also purchase some feature length films!

iTunes is also the main interface to manage and organize the content of your iPod and iPhone. From iTunes you can load your music, pod casts, pictures and lots more to your iPod/iPhone.

iTunes has a number of great features, you can create play lists, scroll though your albums using the album art, create your own personal music CDs to play in any CD player, the list goes on. As there are so many features in iTunes we will only cover the basics to get you up and running, but in time we will add more and more.
